The Kathu Shooting Range in Phuket:
The Kathu shooting range is located right next to the Phuket Wakepark, and slightly before the jungle trail leading to the Kathu Waterfall.
The range allows you to shoot at 10, 15, 20 and 50 meters.
There is also a dedicated spot for sniper rifles, two for swinging target shooting (shotgun and hunting guns). You can practice clay shooting as well.
At the Kathu shooting range, you will find serious, safe, well trained and knowledgeable instructors. Even if you have never seen or touched a gun before in yoru life, they will be there to assist you and teach you the basics of weapon handling. You will have a safe and great time at the Kathu shooting range.
The range is open daily from 09:00 et 18:00 and has some refreshments on site (no alcohol of course).

The basics for a good shot:
To do a good shot, you need:
- To stand straight and face the target, your feet slightly apart, about the width of your shoulders.
- Hold your gun firmly with two hands, but without tensing on the gun either.
- A long rifle must be held and maintained agains your shoulder at all time.
- Breath deeply at all time while aiming, then hold your breath with half full lungs juste before shooting to stabilise your gun.
- Apply pressure slowly on the trigger until the gun fires. You need to be surprised by the shot.
IMPORTANT: Keep your index finger clear from the trigger at all time until you are ready to shoot. A gun must alaways point towards the targets down range or the ground !!
